b.l.e.s.s. Workshop - How to Be a Better Listener and an Even Better Helper

In order to more fully equip ourselves to b.l.e.s.s. others, we’ve designed a workshop focusing on how to LISTEN to someone’s story, identify things in their life where we can SERVE them by SHARING words of hope and encouragement from a Biblical world view.

Carl Chica, founder of R3stored Ministries, will share with us techniques of listening so we are better able to respond to some common issues we might hear during the b.l.e.s.s. process.

As we engage people and listen to their stories, we will hear stories of pain, hurt, difficult circumstances and woundings. So often we are at a loss for what to say. James 1:19 says “…to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.” The first two phrases of this verse are such an integral part our our b.l.e.s.s. strategy of helping people in there journey to find faith in Jesus. How many times have we not taken the time to truly listen, spoke too soon and made others turn away or actually angry? This workshop will benefit everyone in all their relationships.
